Requests water haulers providing water to customers with catchment tanks to conduct pH tests of those tanks at no charge to determine acidity levels.

Addresses concern that vog (volcanic air pollution) from Kilauea Volcano increases the acidity of water captured in catchment tanks on the Big Island.

Notes that acidic catchment water can damage home plumbing systems over time and poses unclear health risks for drinking and bathing.

Directs the Public Utilities Commission to transmit copies of this resolution to chief executive officers of water hauler property carriers regulated by the Commission.
