Request that Castle & Cooke Hawaii, Inc. work with the Oahu Arts Center and the community to secure an appropriate site for a performing arts and arts education center in central Oahu.

Committee recognizes that developing an arts center would provide significant community benefits and support local artists and the local art industry.

Castle & Cooke's previous conditional offer to donate land in Mililani Mauka expired over one year ago after the Oahu Arts Center failed to meet planning and development milestones, including demonstrating financial capability to construct and operate the facility.

Committee acknowledges Castle & Cooke's concerns but urges the company to continue dialogue with the Center and community, noting that resolving concerns would benefit both the company and the broader community.

Committee recommends adoption of the concurrent resolution.
