Hawaii Tourism Authority requested to work with Department of Transportation to develop and air public service announcements on commercial passenger air flights to the state.

Public service announcements must include information on Hawaii's unique and fragile ecosystems and recommendations for visitors and residents on ecosystem care.

Announcements must feature information on Hawaiian monk seals, currently declining at 4% annually with fewer than 1,200 individuals remaining, and how to behave if encountered.

Announcements must include information on applicable federal and state laws regarding endangered species protection.

Certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the President of the Hawaii Tourism Authority and Director of Transportation.
