Requests the University of Hawaii to consider concerns raised regarding the autonomy of the School of Travel Industry Management (TIM) following a 2009 proposal to reconsolidate it with the Shidler College of Business.

Acknowledges that TIM has operated autonomously since 1991 after gaining separate accreditation and that the proposal generated opposition from alumni, students, and faculty.

Directs UH to establish a public forum to receive input and resolve the issue at the university level rather than through legislative action, respecting the constitutional autonomy granted to UH in 2000.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be sent to the President of the University of Hawaii System, Chancellor of UH at Manoa, Chairperson of the Board of Regents, and Dean of the School of Travel Industry Management.
