Request the Department of Health to increase efforts disseminating information about Pap tests, HPV tests, and vaccinations for females ages 9-26 to prevent cervical cancer in Hawaii.

HPV vaccine (Gardasil) is FDA-approved for females ages 9-26 and has potential to prevent up to 70% of invasive cervical cancers and cervical cancer deaths in the United States.

American Cancer Society reports approximately 11,270 women in the United States contract cervical cancer annually, with 4,070 estimated deaths.
