Urges Hawaii's Congressional Delegation to request that the United States Department of Agriculture adopt nutritional guidelines from the Institute of Medicine's "School Meals: Building Blocks for Healthy Children" report for the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program.

Directs the Congressional Delegation to accelerate the Nutrition Education and Training Program and Team Nutrition initiative to improve the nutritional quality of all school meals.

Recognizes that the National School Lunch Program serves approximately 5.1 billion lunches annually at a federal cost of $8.7 billion and is available in 99% of U.S. public schools.

Notes that the Institute of Medicine's recommendations aim to reflect current nutritional science, increase availability of key food groups, meet children's nutritional needs, and foster healthy eating habits.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to Hawaii's Congressional Delegation.
