Approves the fee simple sale of two vacant, non-ceded parcels in Hokulele, Kaneohe by the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation pursuant to Act 176, Session Laws of Hawaii 2009.

The parcels total 10.4 acres (9.19 acres at TMK 1-4-5-23-11 and 1.21 acres at TMK 1-4-5-23-12) and are appraised at fair market values of $74,300 and $165,000 respectively as of January 8, 2009.

The parcels are located beneath the H-3 Freeway with irregular shapes and existing easements making them suitable only for single-family residential development rather than more extensive development plans.

The Corporation will use a Request for Proposals procurement method to solicit qualified developers and reserves the right to transfer portions to the Department of Transportation for H-3 Freeway maintenance easements.

A public informational briefing was held on November 4, 2009 at Kapunahala Elementary School in Kaneohe with no objections received from the public.
