Urges the Governor and Director of Health to support $156,000 in adequate funding for the Lanakila Multi-Purpose Senior Center on Oahu.

The Center has operated for 41 years serving nearly 2,000 seniors aged 60 and older, offering over 50 programs including cultural clubs, health and fitness classes, arts, dance instruction, and special workshops.

The Center's annual budget is approximately $400,000, with less than half funded by private donations and Department of Health funds, previously relying on legislative grants-in-aid to cover the remainder.

Fiscal year 2010-2011 lacked legislative grant funding, temporarily threatening closure of the facility.

Directs certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Director of Health, Director of the Executive Office on Aging, and President of Catholic Charities Hawaii.
