Request to the Attorney General to adopt clearer language on Expungement Certificates regarding photographic records that have been deleted or not returned to individuals.

Current Expungement Certificate language states digitized images cannot be returned because they have been deleted, but the language is ambiguous about which records have actually been removed.

Language should be updated to reflect current law enforcement practices, specifically acknowledging that digitized images (rather than traditional film) are now standard in arrest procedures.

Certified copies of the resolution to be sent to the Attorney General, Administrator of the Hawaii Criminal Justice Data Center, and each county Police Chief.
