Encourages Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate to maintain Kamilo Nui Valley in agricultural use due to its importance for watershed management, flood control, and water quality protection in East Honolulu.

Urges the estate to exercise fairness and reasonableness in renegotiating lease rents with Kamilo Nui farmers in 2010, basing rates on fair market land value contingent upon crop type.

Acknowledges that farmers have held leases since the 1970s with terms running until 2025 under the condition that land remain in agricultural use, and that lease rents are due for renegotiation.

Notes that Kamilo Nui Valley is the last large undeveloped parcel in East Honolulu and is part of the natural flood control system for Hawaiʻi Kai, with over 3,500 residents petitioning to maintain the agricultural boundary.

Directs transmittal of certified copies to the Kamilo Nui Valley Farmers Cooperative, Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate, Honolulu City Council, Hawaiʻi Kai Neighborhood Board, and Livable Hawaiʻi Kai Hui.
