Recognizes April as "Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month" in Hawaii

Cites statistics showing sexual assault affects one in six women and one in 33 men, with one person sexually assaulted in the United States every two and a half minutes

Directs the Legislature to encourage community organizations, businesses, colleges, universities, and media to promote awareness of sexual violence and strategies to decrease sexual assault incidents

Acknowledges the emotional impact on survivors and the work of rape crisis centers and women's health organizations in prevention education

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Director of Human Services and Executive Director of the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence
