Recognizes and commends the Hawaii Film Office, part of the State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development, and Tourism, for its contributions to the film industry.

Acknowledges the office's establishment in 1978 and its role in coordinating film and photographic use of Hawaii's public spaces, managing the consolidated film permitting program, and operating the Hawaii Film Studio at Diamond Head.

Credits the Hawaii Film Office with securing $7.3 million in capital improvement funding for Hawaii Film Studio renovations and playing an instrumental role in bringing major productions to Hawaii, including "Lost," "50 First Dates," and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End."

Highlights the office's processing of more than 1,000 film permits annually and support of over 7,000 film, television, and commercial projects since 2001.

Specifically recognizes current Hawaii Film Office staff members Sandi Ichihara-Abe, Tammy Hasegawa, and Charlene "Chuckie" Kwak, and former members Donne Dawson, Brent Anbe, and Kevin Inouye for their efforts in enhancing Hawaii's film industry.
