Honors and commends the United Fishing Agency for its dedicated service to Hawaii's fishing industry and the people of Hawaii.

Founded on August 5, 1952 by Matsujiro Otani as the Honolulu Fish Auction; relocated to Kewalo Basin in 1977 and to Pier 38 "Commercial Fishing Village" in 2004.

Processes approximately 25 million pounds of fish worth approximately $70 million annually and is the only fresh tuna auction of its kind in the United States.

Provides independent fishermen with marketing services to sell their daily catch at fair prices with same-day payment while supplying the freshest fish to wholesale, retail, and restaurant sectors.

Serves as a Transportation Security Agency-certified packer and screener for exporting fresh fish to the continental United States, Japan, Canada, Europe, and other markets worldwide.
