H.R. 68 - Water Conservation Plan

• Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources and Commission on Water Resource Management to complete a comprehensive statewide water conservation plan that was drafted in 2005 but never finalized.

• Calls for the plan to establish clear policies and procedures to protect Hawaii's water resources, with particular focus on landscaping water use.

• Requests that landscaping industry groups and conservation organizations be included as partners in developing the water conservation plan.

• Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to submit a progress report to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2011 Regular Session convenes.
