Commemorates the 90th anniversary of Honolulu Community College, which opened February 2, 1920 as the Territorial Trade School with 42 students.

Recognizes the institution's evolution through multiple name changes (Territorial Trade School, Smith-Hughes Department, Honolulu Vocational School, Honolulu Technical School) before becoming Honolulu Community College in 1965.

Notes the college's transition to the University of Hawai'i System in 1966 following the Community College Act of 1964, gaining authority to grant Associate in Arts and Science degrees.

Highlights current operations with over 4,500 students, 23 trade programs, and specialty programs including the only Pilot Training, Aviation Mechanics, and Fire and Environmental Emergency Response programs in the Pacific Region.

Recognizes the college's contributions to education and economic opportunities for traditionally underserved and first-generation populations on O'ahu, and congratulates administration, faculty, staff, and students past and present.
