Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes section 612-6 to expand jury duty exemptions based on age.

Current law exempts persons 80 years of age or older from jury service; this bill lowers the exemption age to 70 years or older.

The age exemption change becomes effective on January 1, 2011.

All other existing jury exemptions remain unchanged, including exemptions for elected officials, physicians, dentists, military members, police and fire personnel, emergency medical services members, and persons living more than 70 miles from the court.

The bill takes effect upon approval.
