Appropriates $600,000 from general revenues to Hawaii County for fiscal year 2009-2010 for a grant-in-aid to the Hawaii County Economic Opportunity Council.

Funds designated for purchase of 10 new buses to provide transportation services for disadvantaged elderly, pre-school children, and disabled persons throughout Hawaii County.

Recognizes the Council as a private non-profit organization established in 1965 that has provided county-wide transportation services for low-income populations for over 33 years.

Specifies that appropriated funds shall be expended by Hawaii County for the stated purposes of the Act.

Takes effect July 1, 2009.
