Amends the definition of "wage" in Hawaii Revised Statutes to clarify that tips and gratuities are excluded from wage calculations, except for purposes of section 387-2(b)

Establishes a new temporary minimum wage of an unspecified amount per hour beginning July 1, 2010, and ending December 31, 2011

Allows tipped employees to be paid 25 cents below the applicable minimum wage if their combined employer wages and tips equal at least 50 cents more than the applicable minimum wage

Maintains existing minimum wage requirements of $6.25 per hour (since January 1, 2003), $6.75 per hour (since January 1, 2006), and $7.25 per hour (since January 1, 2007)

Takes effect January 1, 2012
