Extends the sunset date of the long term care commission from November 30, 2010 to June 30, 2012.

Changes the interim report deadline from February 28, 2010 to January 19, 2011, describing progress on the five-year plan and preliminary system reforms.

Changes the final report deadline from September 30, 2010 to January 18, 2012, to include the completed five-year plan, reform prioritization, and financing recommendations for long term care services.

Commission cited lack of funding as the reason for being unable to meet the original reporting deadlines established in Act 224, Session Laws of Hawaii 2008.
