Defines "motion sensor technology" as devices that automatically control a building's lighting, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems based on occupancy detection.

Defines "major renovation" as any significant alteration to one or more facilities or structural components of a hotel facility.

Takes effect on July 1, 2011.
