Request the Department of Land and Natural Resources to establish "Malama o ke Kahakai," a public service program for volunteers to pick up litter and debris from Hawaii's beaches

Coordinate with community groups, churches, and businesses to adopt beaches and commit to cleaning them at least four times per year

Department to provide trash bags, safety information to volunteers, remove filled trash bags and heavy items, and erect recognition signs for participating groups

Department to submit a progress report to the Legislature no later than twenty days before the 2011 Regular Session convening
