Designates the second week of March (beginning with Sunday) as "Census in Schools" Week in Hawaii.

Recognizes the Census Bureau's "2010 Census: It's About Us" education program that provides free teaching materials meeting core standards with activities in map literacy, graphing, and writing.

Emphasizes that 2010 Census data will determine U.S. House representation seats for Hawaii, state and local legislative district boundaries, and allocation of over $4 trillion in federal funding to governments over the next decade.

Supports the "Census in Schools" program as a teaching tool to address historical undercounting of children and to engage youth in learning about their communities' needs.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Governor, Board of Education Chairperson, Superintendent of Education, Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, Charter School Administrative Office, and all county mayors.
