Requests the Governor to amend Executive Order No. 3665 to re-dedicate 193.547 acres of public lands from a golf course to a regional park in West Hawaii.

The proposed "Kailua-Old Airport State Park" (Makaeo Park) would serve the Kealakehe and Keahuolu Urban Expansion District, which is planned for 5,000 single and multi-family units with a projected population of 17,500 to 20,000 residents.

Community stakeholders from Kona and West Hawaii participated in planning sessions and unanimously agreed the regional park should accommodate spectator sports activities and preserve uninterrupted green space.

The regional park is intended to provide recreational facilities, promote team sports and community spirit, and serve as a venue for state, national, and international sporting events to support economic sustainability.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Governor and the Mayor of the County of Hawaii.
