Requests the Senate President and Speaker of the House authorize the Joint Legislative Committee on Aging in Place to continue meeting beyond its June 30, 2010 termination date.

Addresses community priorities including enabling seniors to age with dignity in their own homes and supporting grandparents and caregivers raising grandchildren.

Received testimony support from the Association for the Advancement of Retired Persons, Policy Advisory Board for Elder Affairs, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, and individual community members.

Committee finds that aging in place remains an important community issue despite economic constraints that have eliminated many caregiver resources.

Recommends passage and referral to the Committee on Ways and Means.
