Expands the definition of qualifying reasons for family leave under Hawaii law to include qualifying exigencies arising from a family member's covered active duty status in the U.S. armed forces.

Allows employees to use four weeks of annual family leave when their spouse, son, daughter, or parent is on covered active duty or notified of a call to active duty in the armed forces.

Defines qualifying exigencies and conditions according to Title 29 Code of Federal Regulations Part 825 and the federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, as amended.

Effective July 1, 2030.
