Prohibits courts from considering federal veterans disability benefits (awarded under Title 38 United States Code Chapter 11) when determining whether to award spousal support or the amount of such support.

Adds a new section to Chapter 571, Hawaii Revised Statutes, establishing that service-connected disability benefits for veterans cannot be factored into spousal support and maintenance calculations.

Amends Section 580-47 to reference the new veterans disability benefits limitation when courts consider factors in ordering spousal support and maintenance.

Applies only to actions filed on or after the effective date of the law.

Takes effect July 1, 2050.
