Requires zip line operators to obtain liability insurance from a state-authorized insurer with coverage amounts determined by the department before receiving a permit to operate

Mandates semi-annual inspections of zip lines by the department, consistent with inspection requirements for other major amusement rides

Creates a new civil penalty of up to $10,000 for operators who fail to maintain required liability insurance coverage during the permit period

Takes effect upon approval
