Removes the exemption for dietary supplements from Hawaii's deposit beverage container program under section 342G-101, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

Expands the definition of "deposit beverage" to include all nonalcoholic drinks in liquid form intended for internal human consumption, eliminating the previous exclusion for products designed and consumed only as dietary supplements.

Maintains existing exemptions for syrups, concentrated liquids, drugs, medical foods, infant formula, frozen products, instant powders, broths and soups, and dairy products (except tea and coffee drinks with trace dairy content).

Energy and dietary supplement beverages sold in recyclable containers will now be subject to the deposit refund program, aligning their treatment with similar sports drinks, sodas, and juices.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
