Requires the Office of Planning to develop a plan for a statewide system of greenways and trails consisting of individual and networked greenways and trails.

Office of Planning must coordinate with the Department of Transportation and Department of Land and Natural Resources, and seek input from counties on appropriate areas for greenways and trails, impediments to implementation, and county-specific systems.

Office of Planning shall investigate other jurisdictions' greenways and trails programs, explore use of transportation enhancement funds, and establish a timeline for implementation.

Office of Planning must submit a written report with findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the legislature no later than twenty days before the 2012 regular session convenes.

Effective July 1, 2011.
