Establishes a statewide silver alert program to be activated for missing senior citizens, developed in cooperation with county police departments, the State Civil Defense Division, and local broadcasters.

Integrates the silver alert program with the existing Maile Amber Alert program to the greatest extent possible.

Issues a silver alert when a county police receives notice of a missing senior citizen (65 years or older) who is domiciled in Hawaii, has an impaired mental condition, and whose disappearance poses a credible threat to their health and safety.

Alert shall include information provided by the county police department and instructions for the public to contact local law enforcement with any information about the missing senior citizen.

Effective date: July 1, 2011.
