HI HB201

Requires the Department of Land and Natural Resources to hold a public meeting before issuing a request for proposals for state park management contracts or contracts related to state park programs or activities.

Public meeting must be held at the earliest practicable point in the proposal development process, but no later than 30 days before the request for proposals is issued.

Department must provide notice at least 10 days prior to the public meeting, published in newspapers of general circulation in each county where affected parks are located.

Notice must include the affected parks, services to be contracted, anticipated changes to programs or activities, the meeting's purpose, and the time, date, and place where written or oral testimony may be submitted.

Takes effect upon approval.
