Amends the definition of "employment" under Hawaii workers' compensation law to exclude services performed by members of limited liability companies with at least 50% distributional interest in the company.

Excludes services performed by partners of partnerships and limited liability partnerships with at least 50% transferable interest from workers' compensation coverage.

Excludes services performed by sole proprietors from the definition of employment under workers' compensation law.

Includes protective language prohibiting employers from requiring employees to incorporate, form a limited liability company, become a partner, or form a limited liability partnership as a condition of employment.

Takes effect upon approval.
