Amends Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 353-10 to add a new duty to reentry intake service centers requiring them to develop procedures assisting persons released from commitments of more than one year to obtain state identification cards upon discharge or parole.

Requires the department of public safety to work in conjunction with the department of the attorney general to develop these identification card assistance procedures.

Renumbers existing duties of reentry intake service centers, with the new identification card requirement becoming duty (9) and previously numbered items (9) and (10) becoming (10) and (11).

Takes effect upon approval.
