HB827 - Legislative Appropriations

• Appropriates $7,377,244 to the Senate for session and nonsession expenses through June 30, 2012, including $6,477,244 for general operations and $900,000 for the legislative information system.

• Appropriates $10,481,787 to the House of Representatives for session and nonsession expenses through June 30, 2012, including $9,793,363 for general operations and $688,424 for the legislative information system.

• Appropriates $2,663,849 to the Office of the Auditor for fiscal year 2011-2012 operations, plus an additional $2,550,828 to be deposited into the audit revolving fund and $6,000,000 appropriated from that fund for audit functions.

• Appropriates $3,033,970 to the Legislative Reference Bureau, $1,017,875 to the Office of the Ombudsman, $849,531 to the State Ethics Commission, and $175,000 combined to the Senate and House for the legislative broadcasting program during fiscal year 2011-2012.

• Requires Senate and House accounts to be audited and reported before January 18, 2012, and establishes that all unexpended balances lapse into the general fund as of June 30, 2012.
