Request that the Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs adopt rules requiring businesses that sell and install mobile electronics to educate customers about applicable noise laws.

Request that county police departments vigorously enforce existing ordinances prohibiting excessive noise from motor vehicle audio equipment, with noise limits set at 30 feet (Honolulu and Kauai) or 50 feet (Hawaii and Maui counties).

Request that motor vehicle owners with aftermarket audio equipment be respectful of others when using their audio systems.

Require certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to the Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, each county's police chief, and each county council chairperson.
