Requests the Auditor to assess the social and financial effects of mandating infertility procedure coverage under S.B. No. 615, S.D. 1, effective July 1, 2011.

Requires coverage for infertility procedures in all individual and group accident and health insurance policies that provide pregnancy-related benefits.

Auditor must submit findings, recommendations, and any necessary implementing legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2012 Regular Session convening.

Current Hawaii law (since 1987) covers only in vitro fertilization under limited conditions, but this mandate would expand coverage to additional assisted reproductive technologies appropriate for specific infertility diagnoses.

Certified copies of the resolution shall be transmitted to the Auditor and Insurance Commissioner, who will distribute to all state health insurers.
