Request the Department of the Attorney General to review existing federal and state laws and agency rules relating to confidentiality, privacy, and privilege and their impact on interagency information sharing involving court-involved youth.

Direct the Attorney General to make recommendations to better serve Hawaii youth through appropriate and necessary sharing of information between agencies.

Require the Attorney General to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature and affected agencies (Department of Human Services, Department of Health, Department of Education, Police Department, and county Prosecuting Attorneys) no later than twenty days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes.

Resolve that certified copies be transmitted to the Attorney General, relevant state department directors, Board of Education Chairperson, and Police Chiefs and Prosecuting Attorneys of each county.
