Requests the Governor to establish a sister-state relationship between Hawaii and Queensland, Australia through the Hawaii Sister-State Committee for economic, cultural, and intellectual benefits.

Identifies shared characteristics between the states including warm climates, tropical and agricultural industries, tourism-based economies, governor-led governments, universities, athletics programs, and rail transportation.

Notes Queensland generates $4 billion annually in tourism revenue and features popular attractions including the Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Whitsunday Islands, and Great Dividing Range.

Directs the Governor and Hawaii Sister-State Committee to keep the Legislature fully informed of the process in establishing and formalizing the sister-state relationship.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be sent to the President of the United States, Governor of Hawaii, Hawaii Tourism Authority, Queensland Governor and Premier, and other state officials.
