Urges the Board of Education to require all public high school students to obtain credit for one year of Hawaiian language instruction as part of minimum graduation requirements.

Cites the late 1800s suppression of Hawaiian language in schools under English-only law and its near extinction as justification for revival efforts.

References Article XV, Section 4 of the Hawaii Constitution recognizing Hawaiian as an official state language and Article X, Section 4 requiring promotion of Hawaiian culture, history, and language in public schools.

Directs certified copies of the resolution to be transmitted to each member of the Board of Education.
