Public schools in regional administrative districts with taro farms are requested to serve poi or other taro products through their school meals programs.

Schools are requested to purchase taro products from local taro farms within their regional administrative district where feasible.

The Director of the Agriculture Education Program is requested to arrange work, volunteer, or study opportunities on taro farms for interested schools, classes, or students.

Taro farm arrangements may accommodate school projects, provide school credit, or fulfill public-service requirements.

Certified copies of the resolution are to be transmitted to the Superintendent of Education, Director of the Agriculture Education Program, and Board of Education Chairperson for distribution to affected schools.
