Requests the Director of Health to report on the feasibility of implementing a labeling system for food products containing genetically engineered material, including clear and objective identification methods.

Requires the report to consider the impact of legislation that mandates labeling of genetically engineered foods and establishes sanctions for violations.

Directs the Department of Health to collaborate with the Attorney General, Department of Agriculture, and local agricultural producers and retailers in preparing the report.

Report must be submitted no later than twenty days before the start of the 2012 Regular Session.
