Supports the Thirty Meter Telescope Observatory Corporation's development of a Workforce Pipeline Program to prepare local Hawaii Island workers for employment at the telescope facility and other high-technology projects.

Encourages partnerships between the Thirty Meter Telescope Project and the Department of Education, Hawaii Community College, University of Hawaii at Hilo, independent and charter schools, and community organizations to strengthen STEM education and training.

Calls for the project to identify apprenticeship opportunities with relevant trades and develop preliminary curricula for students interested in STEM fields.

Recognizes that the telescope observatory will require approximately 120 full-time jobs upon completion and commits to hiring local workforce members whenever possible.

Directs transmission of the resolution to education officials, university leadership, and the Thirty Meter Telescope Observatory Corporation Board of Directors.
