Request the Department of Education to collaborate with the Hawaii Youth Services Network and other community-based organizations to develop and implement methods to improve teenage pregnancy prevention.

Direct the transmission of certified copies of the Concurrent Resolution to the Chairperson of the Board of Education, the Superintendent of Education, and the Executive Director of the Hawaii Youth Services Network.

Establish that teenage pregnancy prevention programs improve life outcomes for children and families and help ensure children are born into stable, prepared families.

Recognize that children born to teenage mothers face heightened risks of premature birth, low birth weight, developmental delays, and poor educational outcomes.

Acknowledge that society incurs costs from teenage childbearing through lost tax revenues, public assistance, and criminal justice expenditures.
