Request that the City and County of Honolulu apply for maximum available federal relief funds under the Robert T. Stafford Disaster and Emergency Assistance Act following the March 11, 2011 tsunami.

Request that the State of Hawaii assist Honolulu in recovery by maximizing matching funds for federal reimbursements and assemble an intergovernmental task force to expedite relief efforts.

Urge the United States Congress to refrain from cutting the Tsunami Pacific Alert System.

Request that the City and County of Honolulu expedite building permits for property owners and business owners affected by tsunami damage to facilitate prompt reconstruction and recovery.

Direct transmission of certified copies to the Governor, Hawaii's Congressional Delegation, Honolulu Mayor, Department of Planning and Permitting, and Federal Emergency Management Agency Hawaii director.
