Requests the State Auditor to conduct an audit of the state's compliance with section 5 of Act 178 (2006), which requires annual accounting of public land trust revenues.

Section 5 of Act 178 mandates that the Department of Land and Natural Resources provide accounting by January 1 each year showing gross receipts, amounts transferred to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, amounts retained by the state, and identification of the parcels generating revenues.

Requires the accounting to identify the specific parcel of land (by tax map key, DLNR inventory number, or description) and the state agency that received each gross amount, plus information on any land sales or exchanges.

Directs all government agencies to provide full cooperation and relevant data to the State Auditor during the audit.

Requires the State Auditor to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to the Legislature no later than 20 days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes.
