Requests the Japanese Consul General in Honolulu to address the Hawaii Legislature assembled in joint session.

References the March 11, 2011 earthquake (9.0 magnitude) and tsunami that struck Japan, causing widespread devastation.

Acknowledges the deep and cordial ties between Hawaii and Japan, particularly important during difficult times.

Directs both Houses of the Legislature to convene in joint session in the House Chambers on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 12:00 p.m. to receive an address and update on the earthquake aftermath.

Requires transmittal of a certified copy of the resolution to Consul General Yoshihiko Kamo of Japan in Honolulu.
