Recognizes April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month in Hawaii.

Establishes April as a special opportunity to educate the public about sexual violence, encourage prevention efforts, improve treatment of survivors, and support prosecution of perpetrators.

Encourages community organizations, businesses, colleges, universities, and media to promote awareness of sexual violence and strategies to reduce sexual assault during the designated month.

Recognizes and applauds community organizations and private sector supporters for their work in promoting sexual assault awareness and providing information and treatment to survivors.

Directs transmission of the resolution to the Director of Human Services, Department of Health, Department of the Attorney General, Hawaii Coalition Against Sexual Assault, and the Hawaii State Coalition Against Domestic Violence for distribution to member organizations.
