Request Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation to convene a statewide community land trust task force to study establishing a statewide community land trust to promote homeownership opportunities in Hawaii.

Task force membership includes representatives from Board of Land and Natural Resources, Hawaii Public Housing Authority, Na Hale O Maui community land trust, The Trust for Public Land, community land trusts on Kauai/Oahu/Big Island, Affordable Housing and Homeless Alliance, Hawaii Habitat for Humanity, and Hawaii Association of REALTORS.

Executive Director of Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation designated as task force chairperson.

Task force encouraged to utilize technical expertise from national organizations including Community Land Trust Network, Land Trust Accreditation Commission, and Community Land Trust Academy.

Task force required to submit findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to Legislature no later than 20 days before Regular Session of 2012.
