HCR 82 Summary

• Urges the Pest Control Board to develop and adopt standards for pest control operators and termite inspection reports prior to the 2013 Regular Session of the Hawaii Legislature.

• Requires the Pest Control Board to consider input from pest control industry representatives and interested members of the public when developing termite inspection report standards.

• Requires the Pest Control Board to submit a progress report on pest control operator and termite inspection standards no later than 20 days before the 2012 Regular Session convenes.

• Directs certified copies of the resolution be sent to the Pest Control Board Chairperson, Regulated Industries Complaints Office, and Director of Commerce and Consumer Affairs.
