Urges the Department of Land and Natural Resources to study whether lands along the Waipio Peninsula and Waipahu shorelines are accreted lands belonging to the State of Hawaii.

Notes that approximately over 200 acres of unclaimed accreted lands exist in these areas, formed by gradual accumulation of sediment and silt from feeder streams.

Requests the Department submit findings and recommendations to the Legislature on whether the accreted lands are suitable for use as a future state park.

Identifies the need for recreational space in Waipahu, noting the closest state parks are located outside the community in central Oahu and at Kaena Point.

Requires certified copies of the resolution be transmitted to the Governor, Mayor of Honolulu, Board of Land and Natural Resources, and Waipahu Neighborhood Board.
